The silly season is fast approaching this year! It is a busy time of the year for many people reaching work deadlines, shopping, preparing the house for visitors or travelling to see family. It is also a time where people sometimes forget about their physical health or are very fatigued after a big year. We have put together some tips from our team of Osteopaths to help you remain pain free this Christmas.
Try and keep moving even if your regular exercise routine has changed over the holidays.
Stagger your Christmas cleaning preparations so you don’t do it all in one day.
If you have presents you need to put together, try and do it bit by bit. Make sure you take regular breaks to stretch and maintain good posture.
Backyard cricket after a few beers is never a good idea…
If you’ve got a long drive ahead break the trip up so you’re not sitting for prolonged periods of time. Same goes for packing the car- don’t get suitcase back!
By the end of the year our bodies are usually pretty fatigued so go easy on yourself.
